Read your own raw DNA file.

Drop the export from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, Family Tree DNA or Living DNA. This page computes what your genotypes can genuinely support on their own, pairs it with published population genetics, and hands you an embeddable module for your own site.

No file to hand? — a made-up genome with a planted homozygous run, for seeing what the output looks like.

Privacy

Your file never leaves this browser. There is no server, no upload, no analytics, no cookies, no network request of any kind. The page is seven static files; you can read all of them, and you can run the whole thing offline by opening index.html from disk with your Wi‑Fi off. Genetic data is not revocable — treat any site that asks you to upload it accordingly.

What it computes from your file
  • Runs of homozygosity and FROH — stretches you inherited identical from both parents. Tells you whether your parents were related, and whether your background carries an endogamy signal. Consumer reports do not give you this.
  • Your maternal haplogroup, called from the mitochondrial positions on the chip, with every position it rests on shown and every branch it excludes listed.
  • Chromosomal sex and chip coverage — what your particular array can and cannot answer.
What it cannot, and will not fake
  • Ancestry percentages. These need labelled reference panels — thousands of genomes from known populations — which no raw file contains. Paste your provider's numbers in and they are labelled as your provider's estimate throughout.
  • Your paternal haplogroup. Y-SNP names do not map cleanly onto array probes, and a wrong call is worse than none. Enter it from your report and the tool does the useful part: the geography, dating and citations.
  • Chromosome painting, health, traits or relatives. Out of scope, deliberately.
